About Grain Purchasing
Tate & Lyle's grain merchandisers annually purchase in excess of 200 million bushels of corn for processing at our four corn wet milling plants. The plants are located in Decatur, Illinois; Lafayette, Indiana (2 plants), and Loudon, Tennessee. Grain Bid Web Link
We also operate a network of nine country elevators surrounding the Decatur plant. To assure an adequate supply of raw material for Tate & Lyle's huge corn processing capacity, corn is bought in rail, barge and truck quantities from elevator suppliers as well as direct from producers. With a history of buying and processing corn that dates back to 1912, if you have corn to sell, you can be assured Tate & Lyle will provide a competitive and convenient market that meets your needs.
